We are located in Bergenfield, NJ. We are a community united in faith and guided by the Holy Spirit. St. John the Evangelist is a parish of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Newark, NJ.

St. John's is a vibrant Catholic parish of over 8,000 registered families, with a wide variety of services for spiritual enrichment, youth development, and social interaction.

St. John's was established in 1905, and continues to grow into a spiritual home for those who actively participate in our liturgies and ministries. Our parish is also actively involved in evangelization, to bring the gospel to those waiting to meet the love of Jesus Christ. Our Mission is, through the grace of Jesus Christ, to love God above all things, and to love our neighbor as ourselves.

In the latest edition of Rejoice in the Lord, Cardinal Tobin writes that Christian joy comes from a personal encounter with Jesus Christ, found through prayer, the sacraments, and service to those in need.

Through We Are His Witnesses, he calls on us to find this joy by collaborating in missionary outreach guided by the Holy Spirit.
