winners. Thursday, May 1st, is the Solemnity of the Ascension of Our Lord, a holyday of obligation. Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 30th at 7:30pm, and on Thursday, May 1st at 7am, 9am, 12 noon, and 7:30pm. The Transfiguration Academy Tricky Tray will be held in Conlon Hall on Friday, May 9th. Doors open at 6pm; 1st ticket pulled promptly at 7:30pm. 50/50 cash raffle, too! $10 entrance fee at the door includes 25 entry level prize tickets. Advance purchased entry is $7 including 25 entry level prize tickets. Tickets can be purchased at the upper school office in New Milford (201-836-7074), the lower school office in Bergenfield (201-384-3627) and St. Mary's Rectory in Dumont (201-384-0557). Groups of 8 can reserve tables. Lots of fabulous prizes!!! Our Catholic Girls Club - The Little Flowers of St. John - invites all girls and their mothers/grandmothers to attend their Second Annual May Crowning and Tea Party, on Saturday, May 10th, from 1pm to 3pm in Conlon Hall. St. John's Parish, along with St. Mary's Parish in Dumont and Ascension Parish in New Milford, co-sponsors TRANSFIGURATION ACADEMY, an outstanding academic and spiritual institution for learning. Copies of the Parish Centennial Souvenir Journal, which contains a history of the parish, along with photos and reflections, are available to all those who placed an ad within them at no additional charge, and may be picked up at the rectory. Parishioners and others who wish to purchase a copy may do so at $10 per copy. Rectory hours: Monday thru Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The history of the Archdiocese of Newark and all its parishes is available in a beautiful, hard-cover commemorative book, entitled "Seeds of Faith, Branches of Hope." It includes stories and colorful photographs, including some special pages highlighting our own parish. These lovely books are now available for purchase at $10 per copy at the rectory office.
