After 14 years of faithful service here, Fr. Ernesto Tibay has agreed to move to our New Energies sister parish, Ascension in New Milford, and Fr. Arcadio B. Munoz, former parochial vicar there, has come to St. John's to serve our community, effective June 16th. Fr. Wilson Chu, who has earned his Doctorate in Sacred Theology from the University of Navarre, Spain, is also with us now for the summer.
St. John's Parish, along with St. Mary's Parish in Dumont and Ascension Parish in New Milford, co-sponsors TRANSFIGURATION ACADEMY, an outstanding academic and spiritual institution for learning. Our parish is offering a "St. Joseph the Worker Employment Ministry" to assist those seeking employment in the current job market. The series started on Monday, June 14th at 7pm in the Parish Life Center, and will run on Mondays from 7 to 9pm, except July 5th, through August 2nd.
Our Parish Religious Education Program will offer Vacation Bible School, entitled "Mary's Garden," August 9th -- 13th for children entering PreK-4 through Grade 6.
